Ahhhh... finally!!!! hahahaa. My sister have been 'nagging' me on starting this blog since I am rather free & have so much to share. This blog is for my family & friends who would like to catch a glimpse of our life. This is also of course for the ladies/wives who would like to share their lifestyle, parenting tips (altho' I'm not a mother yet - it will be of good use for the future & of course for the mothers out there), cooking recipe etc.
Let me talk a little bit about myself.
I have been a 'tai-tai' for 2 years.

Quit my job 2 years ago to follow my husband to Shanghai, China as he was offered a job there. Initially, I didn't quite like Shanghai because of the local's attitude. They can be rather harsh & rude. However, after a while, I kinda gotten use to it & even start to like the place abit more. For those who know me will be surprise to know that I like the place because I am a 'banana' (a person who don't know how to read & write Chinese). Frankly, it is a little difficult to survive in China if you don't know a single Chinese because almost everything there is in Chinese & majority of the locals can't speak English. I have a slight advantage because I can speak the lingo (Mandarin). So it wasn't too bad for me but I did encounter a hilarious incident whereby I went to a supermarket intending to buy some chicken drumstick. Brought the drumsticks home & my husband saw the sticker on the packet.....
Him: Eh why did u buy duck drumstick instead? (because I told him that I wanted to stir-fry chicken).
Me : OMG!!! ARE YOU SURE?!?!?!!'
Him: Of course its stated on this packet.
He then showed me how it is written in Chinese for chicken & duck. Actually it didn't really occur to me to check whether it is a duck or chicken because in M'sia, chicken is more common than duck. Chickens are sold at the hypermarkets & if you want to purchase a duck you need to go to the wet markets! I then got to know from a local girl (whom I befriended - she is a owner of a boutique) that they (the locals) love eating duck, especially the neck & wings. No wonder lah!
I have actually got so many stories to share about my stay in Shanghai. Will leave that for another entry, ya? ;)

So, after a year in Shanghai, the husband got a job offer in HK & we decided to move here. It has been a year since we are here & so far, it has been ok-lah.
Will write more about our life here in HK in my later post. So stay tune!
